Cavo Braided Twisted Copper Cable 2 Core 0.75mm - Brown

Brown braid, twisted along its length, over a two core 0.75mm flex: this is what we reach for when the cord is meant to be seen rather than tucked away. The weave gives it a slightly ropey, made-by-hand look that sits happily with bare lamps, ceramic holders and plain pendant shades. It is VDE approved, and we sell it by the metre, with whatever quantity you order supplied as one continuous length rather than short cut pieces.

Brown is the quieter end of the braided range, warmer than black and far less shouty than the brights, and it works well against timber, brick, painted plaster and unlacquered brass. We would use it on a cluster of pendants over a kitchen island, a single drop above a stairwell landing, or a run of shaded pendants in a hallway where the flex reads as part of the design. It is equally useful to anyone bringing an old table lamp or floor standard back into service. Keep it to dry indoor rooms; damp spaces and outbuildings ask for something else.

The braid covers the flex over its full length and takes handling and light scuffing without fraying, and the twist holds its shape rather than unwinding in the hand. Care is a matter of running a dry cloth along it now and then to lift dust out of the weave, with nothing wet and no cleaning sprays, since both will stain the braid and stiffen it. It carries a one year warranty. How is the cable supplied if I order several metres?

Each unit is one metre, and multiple units are supplied joined as a single continuous length, so ordering five gives you a 5m piece rather than five separate metres.
