Cream braid over a twisted pair gives this flex a softly textured, almost rope-like surface, made for fittings where the cable is on show rather than hidden away. It is a two core 0.75mm flex, VDE approved, round and slim in the hand, with the two conductors twisted together beneath the woven cover. Order the number of metres you need and it arrives as one continuous run, not a bundle of shorter pieces.

Cream is the shade we suggest when a room is already warm in tone: limewashed plaster, oak, old brass, unbleached linen shades. It reads softer than white and calmer than a strong colour, so a long drop over a kitchen table or a run of pendants along a bar looks intentional without shouting. We keep it on the shelf for bare-holder pendants, plug-in lamps and shopfitting work where a plain black flex would look too utilitarian. It suits anyone rebuilding a favourite lamp, matching a flex to an existing fitting, or specifying several pendants that all need to look the same.

The woven outer sleeve resists the scuffing that plain PVC picks up, and it keeps its shape well when coiled and hung. Cream does show handling, so work with clean hands and wipe the braid along its length with a dry cloth if it dulls; leave solvents and household sprays well away from the weave. It is for dry, sheltered positions indoors. This flex carries a one year warranty.
