Description

The Next is a 5-metre length of fabric-covered lighting cable in a brass finish, designed for pendant lights, chandeliers and exposed decorative wiring installations. The cable consists of a twin-core conductor sheathed in woven textile, giving a 5mm outer diameter that provides flexibility without excess bulk when threading through ceiling roses, lamp holders or custom brackets.

Used in both residential and hospitality settings where the cable run is deliberately visible, the Next allows pendant drops to become part of the interior scheme rather than hidden elements. The fabric sheath softens the mechanical appearance of standard PVC flex and pairs with traditional brass fittings, ceramic lamp holders and vintage-style bulbs. The cable can be cut to any required length on site, making it adaptable to ceiling heights from 2.4m standard domestic to 4m+ commercial or heritage spaces.

The woven textile layer adds durability against abrasion and flexing compared to bare PVC, which is useful when pendants are adjusted frequently or when cable runs through tight apertures in ceiling plates. Yes. The 5m length can be cut to any required drop on site. Once cut, the exposed cores are wired into the lamp holder or ceiling rose terminal in the usual way. The fabric sheath does not fray significantly when cut cleanly with wire cutters.
