Description

The Phosara is a 10-metre fabric-sheathed lighting cable in white, designed for pendant light installations where the cable run is visible and becomes part of the aesthetic. The 5mm diameter cable has a braided textile outer sheath over standard electrical core, suitable for pendant drops, suspended chandeliers, and custom light fittings that require a softer visual than PVC flex.

Used in residential, hospitality and retail settings, the cable works where standard plastic flex would look too industrial or clinical. The fabric sheath allows the cable to drape naturally from a ceiling rose to a pendant fitting, and the white colour blends into white or light-toned ceilings while providing clean contrast against exposed brick, timber beams or darker walls. The cable is flexible enough to route through ceiling voids during installation without kinking.

Supplied in a 10m length, the cable can be cut to exact requirements on site, allowing one cable to serve multiple drop lengths or to be stored as spare material for future adjustments. The fabric sheath provides abrasion resistance during installation and handling, and the cable carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. Suitable for UK 230V installations when paired with appropriate pendant fittings and ceiling connections.

Yes. The 10m cable can be cut to the exact length needed for your installation. Once cut, the fabric sheath may need to be carefully trimmed back to expose the inner cores for termination into the pendant fitting and ceiling connection.

What voltage is it rated for?

The cable is suitable for UK 230V mains installations when correctly terminated. It must be installed by a qualified electrician and paired with appropriate pendant lampholders, ceiling roses and earth continuity where required.

Is the fabric sheath fire-rated?
