Description

The Zoom is an 85mm recessed LED downlight with a 12W integrated LED producing 4000K neutral white light at a CRI of 90. The cast aluminium housing is finished in white and rated IP65 against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for bathrooms, outdoor soffits, kitchens and commercial spaces where moisture resistance is required.

Designed for recessed installation into ceilings with a minimum void depth of 85mm, the Zoom provides direct downward illumination for general lighting, task lighting over worktops, or accent lighting in retail and hospitality settings. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool white, providing neutral clarity that works across residential and commercial applications without skewing warm or cold. The IP65 rating allows the fitting to be installed in bathroom zones 1 and 2, and under outdoor soffits or covered porches.

The 85mm diameter cut-out gives a discreet ceiling aperture that suits contemporary interiors where visible fittings are minimised. The white powder-coated finish on the visible bezel blends into white or light-coloured ceilings, while the cast aluminium construction provides heat dissipation for the LED driver. The CRI 90 rating ensures accurate colour rendering for spaces where colour differentiation matters, such as kitchens, bathrooms with mirror lighting, or retail displays.

The fitting draws 12W on AC 220-240V mains and is designed for continuous operation without dimming capability. The integrated LED has a rated lifespan of 30,000+ hours at typical domestic usage patterns, reducing the need for lamp replacement over the fitting's service life.

Frequently Asked

Can this be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2 (within 2.25m of a bath or shower, above the bath/shower). It is not rated for submersion or direct water jets, but will withstand bathroom moisture and splashing.

Is the Zoom dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is designed for fixed output on AC 220-240V mains. It will not work with dimmer switches.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The fitting requires a minimum 85mm void depth above the ceiling for the driver and heat sink. The 85mm diameter cut-out sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, under cover. The IP65 rating protects against rain and dust when installed under soffits, porches or covered walkways. It is not rated for fully exposed outdoor use in direct rain or snow.
