Description

The Zoom is an 85mm recessed LED downlight with an integrated 12W LED module delivering 3000K warm white light at CRI 90. The black aluminium bezel and heat-sink housing carry an IP65 rating, making the fitting suitable for installation in bathroom zones, outdoor soffits, porches and other damp or dusty environments where dust ingress and water jets need to be excluded.

Designed for new-build or retrofit applications in residential and commercial settings, the Zoom fits a standard 85mm ceiling cut-out and recesses flush with the plasterboard or render line. The 12W output provides focused downward illumination suitable for spacing at 1.5-2m centres in hallways, bathrooms, kitchens and circulation areas. The dimmable driver works with trailing-edge dimmers, allowing light levels to be adjusted from full output down to approximately 10% without flicker.

The CRI 90 rating means the light reproduces colours more accurately than standard CRI 80 fittings, which is useful in bathrooms where skin tones and makeup need to be rendered faithfully, and in kitchens where food preparation benefits from true colour perception. The black aluminium construction dissipates heat efficiently through the finned rear heat-sink visible in the image, keeping LED junction temperatures within safe operating limits and supporting the 5-year warranty period.

The IP65 certification allows the Zoom to be installed in bathroom Zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower enclosure) and Zone 2 (within 600mm of a basin or shower tray), as well as outdoor locations under eaves or canopies where the fitting is protected from direct rainfall but exposed to moisture and dust. The recessed profile prevents the fitting from protruding into headroom, making it suitable for low ceilings and areas where ceiling height is limited.
