Description
The Zon is a 30W LED outdoor ceiling light with a 22cm diameter white drum housing an integrated 3000K warm white LED panel. The IP65-rated aluminium and plastic construction protects internal components from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for covered porches, carports, balconies and external building entrances exposed to rain.
Designed as a flush-mount ceiling fitting with a 5.8cm projection from the ceiling surface, the Zon suits outdoor areas with ceiling heights of 2.1m or above where a low-profile fitting is needed. The 30W LED output provides general ambient lighting across 8-12m² areas such as front porches, rear patios under shelter, external stairwells and garage ceilings. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to traditional halogen exterior fittings.
The white powder-coated aluminium drum conceals the LED panel behind a frosted plastic diffuser that spreads light evenly without visible hotspots or LED chip shadows. The CRI of 80 renders exterior wall colours, paving and planting more accurately than lower-quality outdoor LEDs. The fitting operates on AC 110-240V, compatible with UK mains supply without requiring a transformer.
The flush-mount design fixes directly to a standard ceiling rose or junction box, with the white finish blending into white-painted soffits and ceilings. The IP65 rating means the fitting can withstand direct rain exposure, though positioning under a covered overhang extends service life by reducing UV exposure to the plastic diffuser.

Frequently Asked
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight (the '6') and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction (the '5'). This makes the Zon suitable for external locations exposed to rain, though positioning under a covered porch or soffit extends the life of the plastic diffuser by reducing UV exposure.
Can the LED be replaced?
The 30W LED panel is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours (approximately 8-10 years at 8 hours per day), after which the entire fitting would need replacing.
What area does 30W light cover?
The 30W output suits 8-12m² covered outdoor areas such as front porches, small patios under shelter, external stairwells and garage ceilings. Larger open areas may need multiple fittings spaced 3-4m apart.
Is it dimmable?
The product specification does not list dimmer compatibility. Most integrated LED outdoor fittings are non-dimmable unless explicitly stated. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch to confirm compatibility.
