Description

The Zip is an industrial wall light built around a single burnished copper lampholder with an exposed E27 bulb fitting, suspended on a short black fabric cable from a copper wall plate. The copper metalwork shows a brushed finish with natural tonal variation, and the lampholder features machined ridges at the top and base that reference early 20th-century electrical fittings.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and living room accent lighting, the Zip sits 210mm from the wall when mounted and casts light in all directions from the exposed bulb. The short cable drop positions the bulb just below eye level on a standard 2.4m-ceiling wall, making it suitable for corridor runs, bedside positions, and above console tables or sideboards. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

The burnished copper develops a richer patina over time as the metal oxidises naturally, darkening slightly and gaining character. The 90mm-diameter wall plate gives sufficient backing for the lampholder assembly without dominating the wall, and the black fabric cable contrasts cleanly with the warm copper tone. The fitting accepts any E27 LED, halogen or decorative filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
