Description
The Ziggy is a 343mm-tall wall light built around a geometric lattice frame in lacquered gold, mounted on a matt black backplate. A cylindrical white opal glass shade sits at the centre of the lattice, housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that diffuses through the glass to provide soft ambient light. The IP44 rating makes this fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, as well as general interior use.
Designed for bathrooms, hallways and bedroom accent lighting, the Ziggy pairs decorative metalwork with functional task light. The 152mm width and 114mm projection sit comfortably alongside mirrors above vanity units or as flanking lights either side of a bathroom cabinet. The lattice casts subtle geometric shadows onto the wall when lit, adding a decorative layer beyond the direct light output.
The lacquered gold finish has a warm tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing well with warmer bathroom finishes (walnut, oak, terracotta) and contemporary interiors using black tapware or fixtures. The matt black backplate defines the edge of the fitting and provides a visual anchor against lighter wall colours. The white opal glass is a single-layer diffuser, meaning the bulb itself is not visible when the light is on.
The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 40W. Most users pair this with a 6-8W warm-white LED bulb between 2700K-3000K for bathroom mirror lighting, or a globe-style filament bulb for decorative emphasis in hallways and bedrooms.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in bathrooms?
Yes. The IP44 rating means the Ziggy is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. This includes use above sinks, next to mirrors, and in alcoves away from direct shower spray. It is not rated for use directly inside shower enclosures (zone 1).
What bulb does it take?
The Ziggy takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. For bathroom mirror use, a 6-8W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K provides sufficient light. For decorative emphasis in hallways, a vintage-style globe filament bulb works well.
How is it fitted to the wall?
The black backplate mounts to a standard UK wall box or directly to the wall surface using the supplied fixings. The lattice frame and glass shade attach to the front of the backplate once the backplate is wired and secured. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Does the lattice pattern cast shadows?
Yes. When the light is on, the geometric lattice casts subtle shadows onto the wall behind and around the fitting. The effect is more pronounced with higher-wattage bulbs and in darker wall colours.
