Description

The Zerava is a 780mm table lamp built around three stacked, faceted blocks of green and black marble set on a brushed brass triangular plinth. A slim brass stem rises through a brass collar at the top of the marble column to a 400mm cream drum shade, finished with a small brass ball finial. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

At 780mm tall with a 400mm shade diameter, the Zerava suits sideboards, hallway consoles and wider bedside tables where there is room for the column to read as a sculptural object rather than a purely functional lamp. Place it against a plain wall or behind a low arrangement so the faceted marble silhouette is visible from across the room. The cream shade casts a soft, warm wash suited to ambient and accent lighting rather than focused task work.

Each marble block is cut with multiple angular planes, so the deep green veining, black inclusions and pale background shift in tone as the cut faces catch light from different directions. Because the marble is natural stone, the pattern, depth of colour and balance of green to black vary between individual lamps, and no two Zerava bases look identical. The brushed brass plinth, central stem and finial give the green and black palette a warm metallic accent without competing with the stone.

What bulb does the Zerava take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the cream shade for ambient lighting on a sideboard or console.

Does the marble pattern vary between lamps?

Yes. Each faceted block is cut from natural marble, so the depth of green, the density of black inclusions and the position of veining differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural stone rather than a defect.

Where is it switched on and off?

The lamp is operated by an inline switch on the cable. There is no switch on the lamp body itself, which keeps the brass stem visually clean.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the faceted marble blocks with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid acidic household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as these can dull and etch polished marble surfaces.
