Description

The Zephyrus is a 40cm diameter round LED fitting with a white painted steel body and plastic diffuser, designed for dual mounting as either a semi-flush ceiling light or a wall-mounted fixture. An integrated 36W LED at 3000K produces warm white light that spreads evenly through the plastic diffuser, providing general ambient illumination for medium to large rooms.

The fitting works as ceiling-mounted general lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas where a low-profile fitting is needed, or as wall-mounted ambient light in corridors, landings and reception areas. The semi-flush ceiling mount sits close to the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low. The IP20 rating confirms indoor-only use.

The white finish on the painted steel body pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors, and the round profile provides even light distribution without visible hotspots or dark zones. The 40cm diameter provides enough coverage for rooms up to approximately 15-20 square metres when used as the primary light source. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacements, and Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked

Can this be used on the ceiling and the wall?

Yes. The Zephyrus is designed for dual mounting. It can be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light or mounted directly to a wall. The mounting hardware accommodates both orientations.

Is the Zephyrus dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The fitting operates at full 36W output on standard 230V mains.

What room size does the 40cm version suit?

The 40cm diameter provides general ambient light for rooms up to approximately 15-20 square metres when used as the primary ceiling light. Smaller rooms or wall-mounted applications work well for supplementary lighting.

What is the IP20 rating?

IP20 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no moisture protection. It is designed for dry indoor locations only and is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens with high steam, or any outdoor use.
