Description

The Xeena is a 3 light crystal wall light built around five curved tubular arms in a French gold finish, each arm capped with a faceted crystal sphere. The arms radiate from a central spherical backplate, with three arms holding G4 halogen bulb sockets inside the crystal heads and two additional decorative arms without bulbs. The overall width is 170mm and the projection from the wall is 150mm, making it compact enough for narrow hallways and landing zones without dominating the space.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedroom accent walls and dressing rooms, the Xeena provides decorative task lighting rather than primary ambient illumination. Each of the three G4 sockets accepts a capsule halogen bulb up to 20W (sold separately), giving up to 60W combined output when fully loaded. The crystal spheres refract the halogen light into multiple points, creating a scatter effect across adjacent walls and ceilings. The fitting is dimmable using a trailing-edge dimmer compatible with halogen lamps.

The French gold finish is a warm-toned plated metal that reads closer to polished brass than yellow gold, pairing well with cream, taupe and soft grey wall colours in contemporary and transitional interiors. The faceted crystal spheres are hand-cut and polished, so each sphere shows slight variation in the facet pattern and refraction behaviour when lit. The 150mm projection positions the crystals far enough from the wall to prevent heat buildup but close enough to suit standard corridor widths of 900-1200mm. At 1.1kg fitted weight, the Xeena requires a solid fixing into masonry or onto a timber stud — plasterboard fixings alone will not support it safely.

The Xeena uses three G4 halogen capsule bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. G4 is a bi-pin base common in halogen decorative fittings — LED G4 replacements are available but the specification states this fitting is not LED/CFL compatible, so halogen bulbs are recommended.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with halogen G4 bulbs and paired with a trailing-edge dimmer compatible with low-voltage halogen lighting. Leading-edge dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or buzzing.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The faceted crystal spheres attract dust and fingerprints. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is switched off and cooled. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water into the lamp sockets.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No IP rating is listed in the specification, so the Xeena is designed for dry internal use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other damp locations unless installed well away from showers, baths and wash basins in accordance with bathroom zone regulations.
