Description

The Worbette is a round LED flush ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, 38cm in diameter and only 6.5cm high. Its steel body is finished in black, with a gold band running around the side between two black rims and a white plastic diffuser across the face. The light source is integrated LED, drawing 19.5W and giving 2,300lm at 3000K, a warm light. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and the outdoors.

A flush fitting earns its place where a pendant would crowd the room: hallways, landings, bedrooms and kitchens, or any room with a lower ceiling. With 2,300lm from a single fitting, it gives a room plenty of general light, and the white diffuser spreads the LEDs into one soft glowing disc rather than bright points. The black frame and gold band suit a modern scheme, sitting comfortably beside black metal shelving, dark window frames or warm metallic accents, while the warm white keeps a bedroom or living room relaxed through the evening.

The body is steel and the diffuser is plastic, and the whole light comes in at 0.964KG packed. There are no settings to learn: it is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it works from your existing wall switch on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. Its energy class is F. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no separate bulb to buy, and at 6.5cm high it keeps a low profile even in a room where headroom is tight.
