Description

The Wisteria is a single-light wall fitting with three cascading strands of cut crystal buttons suspended from a curved french gold arm. The arm extends 175mm from the wall and holds a single E14 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) behind the crystal strands, casting light through the cut facets and creating refracted patterns on adjacent walls.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls flanking a bed, or living room accent positions where decorative rather than high-output lighting is needed, the Wisteria adds reflective interest without dominating the wall. The 430mm height and 130mm width make it suitable for narrower wall sections where a larger sconce would feel oversized. The crystal strands hang vertically under gravity and require approximately 200mm of clear space below the mounting point to avoid contact with furniture or skirting boards.

The french gold finish on the metal frame is a warm antique tone, darker and more aged-looking than polished brass, pairing well with heritage colour palettes, traditional mouldings and warm wood tones. Each crystal button is individually faceted and strung onto concealed wire, so the strands catch and scatter light from multiple angles as the viewer moves past the fitting. The E14 socket accepts candle bulbs up to 20W, with dimmable LED candle bulbs between 4-6W providing adequate light for decorative effect.

What bulb does the Wisteria take?

The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulb at 2700K for a soft, warm glow through the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb and paired with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The metal frame and crystal elements do not affect dimming performance — compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer combination.

How much clearance is needed below the fitting?

The crystal strands hang approximately 430mm from the mounting point. Allow at least 200mm clearance below the lowest crystal to avoid contact with furniture, skirting or door frames. The fitting works best mounted at picture-rail height or above bedside tables.

Can it be cleaned without removing the crystal strands?

The crystal buttons can be wiped in place with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is switched off and cool. For deeper cleaning, the strands detach from the frame by unhooking the wire loops, allowing individual cleaning before re-hanging.
