Description

The Wiressa is a flush ceiling light built as a long wooden beam, held at each end by black steel brackets finished with two round bolt heads. A black steel channel runs the length of its underside and carries four E27 lampholders in a neat row, so the light falls along the whole beam. It measures 76cm long, 8.5cm wide and 10cm high, which keeps it close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel low. Each lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60W, and the bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and warmth yourself. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We see it working best above a living room bookcase or a dining table, or along a hallway, anywhere a long, narrow shape can follow the line of the room. The warm brown woodgrain against matt black brings a rustic, workshop feel that sits comfortably with exposed brick and natural textures, and it pairs well with clear filament bulbs whose glass shows the glowing wire. Because the light comes from four lampholders spread along the beam, it reaches the length of a long table or a run of shelves, rather than pooling in one spot.

The body pairs wood with steel: the timber beam brings the warmth, while the black steel brackets and channel give it structure and carry the lampholders.
