Description

The Wilmslow is a 1060mm Victorian-style pedestal light built from cast aluminium with a black powder-coat finish, clear glass panels and a decorative finial crown. The lantern head sits on a scrollwork pedestal base designed for mounting on flat surfaces — gate posts, pier caps, driveway entrance pillars or low boundary walls. The single E27 socket takes a standard screw bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for residential driveways, front garden pathways and courtyard entrances, the Wilmslow provides ambient marker lighting at ground level without the need for wall-mounting or overhead fixtures. The 385mm width of the lantern head casts light in all directions through the clear glass, making the fitting visible from approach angles where a wall-mounted lantern would be obscured. The IP23 rating protects against rain from above and angled spray, making it suitable for open UK outdoor locations.

The cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp climates better than mild steel alternatives, and the black finish hides the patina that develops on exposed metal over time. The scrollwork pedestal and tiered base give the fitting a substantial 1060mm presence that works on wider gate posts and entrance piers without appearing undersized.
