Description

The Willowmere pendant hangs a 400mm shade of Tiffany-style leaded glass open side down, which makes it the most compact of our three light pendants and the easiest to place. Overall height adjusts from 410mm to 1400mm, so it can sit tight to the ceiling or drop nearly a metre lower. Three E27 lampholders are fitted inside, each taking an LED bulb of up to 10W, and at 2.2kg it is light enough for straightforward fixing. Bulbs are not included.

Three lampholders under a 400mm shade give a surprising amount of light for the size, which makes this ceiling light useful in smaller rooms where a 500mm shade would dominate: a snug, a study, a small dining room, a hallway or a bedroom. It is also the sensible option for a narrow stairwell, where the long drop can be used properly. The multicoloured glass suits period interiors and gives a plainer room its warmth without taking over. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

Small pieces of coloured glass are set into soldered metal seams on a metal frame, so the shade reads as pattern by daylight and as warm colour once lit. Dust with a dry soft cloth, lift marks with a barely damp cloth and dry straight away, and keep sprays and abrasive creams away from the seams and the metalwork. The fitting is Class 1 and needs an earthed supply, and it dims with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. A Willowmere table lamp and a Willowmere wall light or wall sconce continue the same range.
