Description

Small in scale and warm in tone, this single pendant is finished in brass gold and built around a body of 11cm across. It takes a G9 capsule of up to 10W, which gives a soft pool of light rather than whole-room brightness. It comes as the frame alone, so the shade above it is yours to choose. Dimming is possible where the lamp and the dimmer are both suited to it.

Kitchen islands and breakfast bars are the obvious home, hung as a pair or in a run at working height, and it is equally good over a bedside table where a lamp would eat into the surface. The flex allows up to five metres, so it can fall deep into a stairwell or double-height room, or be taken up short for an ordinary ceiling height. It suits anyone who wants the fitting itself to stay quiet and let the shade or the lamp do the talking. We reach for it when several small points of light are wanted rather than one big fitting.

The pendant is double insulated and meant for dry indoor rooms, away from steam and splashing. Brass gold holds its warmth best with an occasional pass of a dry, soft cloth; keep metal polishes and household sprays off it, and turn the power off before you go near the capsule. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the Wick shape in a good spread of finishes, among them satin black, polished nickel, aged pewter, antique copper and satin white, along with an E27 version for those who want a bigger lamp, so a whole room can be kept to one metal. Lamps are not included.
