Description

Small pendants earn their keep where a wide shade would crowd a room. This one is a compact tapered body, 80mm across at its widest, finished in a warm brass gold with a soft shine rather than a mirror. Inside sits a single G9 lampholder, which keeps the whole fitting slight and sends light straight down in a tight pool. The flex is generous and the drop adjustable, so it can sit up close to the ceiling or hang long over a table. The shade and the lamp are not included; see our lamp shades.

We use these in a row over a kitchen island, and singly above a bedside table where a lamp would take up space that is needed elsewhere. They work well down a stairwell too, or in a hallway where a broad shade would be in the way. A G9 capsule gives a bright, compact source, so this is a fitting for task and accent light rather than for filling a large sitting room on its own. Dimming is possible with a suitable lamp and dimmer, neither of which comes in the box.

The body is plated in brass gold, and the fitting is double insulated. Keep it looking right with a dry microfibre cloth now and then; plated finishes dislike sprays, creams and anything abrasive, so leave those for the worktop. Dry indoor rooms suit it best, so not a shower zone and not a porch open to the weather. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same small pendant in antique brass, antique copper, aged pewter, black chrome, satin black, French gold, polished nickel, satin nickel and satin white, and there is an E27 version in the range if you would rather a larger lampholder. Lamps are not included.
