The Walker is a 241mm outdoor wall lantern with a tapered rectangular frame in bronze aluminium, accented with heritage brass at the lampholder. Four clear glass panels sit within a welded metal frame that slopes inward from a 190mm wide backplate to a narrower top, giving the lantern a trapezoidal profile. The E27 lampholder inside takes a single bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for porches, side entrances and covered exterior walls, the Walker provides downward and outward light distribution through the clear glass, making it suitable for illuminating doorsteps, paths and small patio areas. The IP44 rating protects against solid objects above 1mm and water splashes from any direction, so the lantern can be used on walls with some overhead shelter or overhang. The 209mm projection from the wall positions the light source forward enough to throw light downward without casting harsh shadows directly beneath the fitting.

The bronze finish on the aluminium frame has a dark, near-black tone that reads cooler than oil-rubbed bronze, while the heritage brass lampholder adds a warmer metallic accent visible through the glass when the bulb is off. The clear glass leaves the bulb fully visible, so pairing the Walker with a vintage filament LED or a traditional tungsten bulb adds decorative detail beyond the frame itself. IP44 protects against solid objects above 1mm (including insects and dust) and water splashes from any direction. The Walker can be used on exterior walls with some overhead shelter, such as under a porch roof or eave. It is not rated for fully exposed positions where driving rain hits the fitting directly from above.

What bulb works best with this lantern?

The E27 fitting accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W. A vintage filament LED between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K gives warm light and a decorative glow through the clear glass. For brighter functional light, a 9-12W LED at 3000K provides better path and step visibility.

Can this be fitted to brick or rendered walls?

Yes. The backplate has mounting holes for wall plugs and screws. On solid brick or blockwork, standard 50mm wall plugs are sufficient. On rendered or hollow walls, use appropriate fixings rated for the combined weight of the lantern (approximately 2-3kg depending on the bulb).
