Virelle LED Totem Alabaster Table Lamp - Soft White

The Virelle is a 300mm alabaster table lamp carved from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster into a stacked totem silhouette. Four rounded, bulbous tiers taper gradually upward from a wider conical base to a slim cylindrical finial, with an integrated LED running through the core to light the stone from within. The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm internal glow that picks out the honey and ivory veining in the alabaster.

At 300mm tall and 110mm in diameter, the Virelle suits console tables, bedside tables, sideboards and shelving where a compact sculptural light is wanted rather than a traditional shaded lamp. Because the alabaster itself is the diffuser, the Virelle reads as much as an object as it does a light source, working equally well switched on as ambient light or switched off as a pale stone sculpture.

Each piece carries individual variation in veining, translucency and tonal depth depending on the section of stone it was cut from. The hand-finished surface keeps the natural softness of the alabaster, with subtle clouding and pale honey markings becoming more pronounced once the LED is lit. The wider conical base gives the lamp a stable footprint, while the rhythmic stacked tiers create a clear vertical line that pairs cleanly with both contemporary and quietly traditional interiors.

Does the Virelle come with a bulb?

Yes. The light source is an integrated LED running on 230V mains at 3000K warm white. There is no separate bulb to fit or replace, so the lamp is ready to use straight from the box once plugged in.

Is each lamp identical?

No. The Virelle is carved from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ from piece to piece. Pale honey and ivory markings, internal clouding and faint marbling are characteristics of the natural stone rather than defects.

Where does the Virelle work best?

At 300mm tall and 110mm wide it suits bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving units. The compact diameter means it fits comfortably alongside books and accessories without dominating the surface.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
