Description
The Virelle is a 380mm tall curved-panel table lamp cut from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster, with an integrated 3000K LED concealed inside the stone. The panel measures 200mm wide and is shaped into a gentle vertical curve, giving the lamp a flat front face and a softly bowed profile when viewed from the side. There is no visible hardware, base plate or shade fitting — the alabaster itself is the entire body of the lamp.
Designed as a low-level accent light rather than a primary task lamp, the Virelle suits console tables in entrance halls, bedside tables, sideboards in living rooms, and shelving in dining or reception spaces. The slim 200mm footprint sits comfortably on narrow consoles and bedside surfaces where a conventional lamp with a wide shade would dominate. The warm 3000K colour temperature pairs well with adjacent ambient lighting in the evening.
Each panel is cut from a different section of stone, so the veining patterns and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Honey, beige and amber mineral lines run through a soft white base, and these become most visible when the LED is switched on and light passes through the thickness of the panel. The lower edge follows a subtly organic contour rather than a hard horizontal cut, softening the otherwise clean vertical geometry.

Frequently Asked
Does the Virelle take a replaceable bulb?
No. The light source is an integrated LED built into the lamp, running on 230V mains at 3000K warm white. There is no bulb to change, and the unit is supplied ready to plug in.
Will every Virelle look the same?
No. Each panel is cut from a different section of natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral tones and translucency vary between individual pieces. The honey and amber lines visible when lit are unique to each lamp and are a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.
How big is the footprint?
The lamp is 380mm tall and 200mm wide. The slim curved-panel form takes up considerably less surface depth than a conventional table lamp with a circular shade, making it suitable for narrow console tables, bedside tables and shelving where space is limited.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
