Description
The Viora 2m Recessed Magnetic Track is a straight white rail designed to sit within the ceiling rather than hang beneath it. It measures two metres long, 5cm wide and 14mm deep, with perforated flanges along both long edges and a copper-coloured conductor strip running down the centre of its channel. It is made for the range's magnetic track, which is sold separately, and what arrives is the track alone: the track lights are not included, so plan to buy them alongside it.
Because it is recessed, the rail sits within the ceiling line, so what you see is a slim white channel rather than a rail fixed across the surface. That suits a living room, a kitchen or a hallway where you want light exactly where it is needed without a bulky run of hardware overhead. At 14mm deep it asks for very little depth in the ceiling, and the white finish keeps it quiet against white plaster. A two-metre length covers a good stretch of a room, and with a magnetic track you choose where along its length each light sits, so the layout can follow the furniture rather than the other way round.
The track runs at 48V DC, and the maker lists it as dimmable by PWM. It is rated to operate between 0°C and 40°C, which places it in heated indoor rooms rather than an unheated garage or loft that can drop below freezing. The whole two-metre length weighs 0.72KG. We recommend that a qualified electrician fits it, and the track lights are chosen separately, so it is worth deciding how many you want before the ceiling work begins.

Frequently Asked
Are the track lights included with this recessed track?
No. You receive the two-metre track alone; the track lights are not included and are bought separately to complete the system.
How big is the Viora recessed magnetic track?
It is two metres long, 5cm wide and 14mm deep, and it weighs 0.72KG, so it asks for very little depth in the ceiling.
What voltage does the magnetic track run at?
The track runs at 48V DC, and the maker's sheet lists it as dimmable by PWM.
Will the track work in a cold, unheated room?
It is rated to operate between 0°C and 40°C, so we keep it to heated indoor rooms rather than spaces that can drop below freezing.
What colour is the recessed track?
It is white, with a copper-coloured conductor strip in its channel, so it sits quietly against a white ceiling.
