Description

The Vetra is a single pendant light built around a 20cm opal glass globe held at the end of an angled matt black metal arm. The arm bends part-way down its length, offsetting the globe from the vertical drop and giving the fitting a graphic, drawn-line silhouette. A single E14 bulb (sold separately, up to 60W) sits inside the frosted glass, which diffuses the light evenly across the sphere.

The 47cm overall height and 150cm adjustable cable make the Vetra suited to hanging over bedside positions, console tables, compact dining tables and reading corners. Hung in pairs either side of a bed, the offset arm angles the globe inward over the pillow line, giving directed reading light without the bulk of a wall-mounted swing arm. Above a small table, a single Vetra reads as a sculptural drop rather than a centrepiece, leaving the surface visually uncluttered.

The opal glass is fully frosted rather than clear, so the bulb filament does not show through and the globe glows uniformly when lit. The matt black arm and small black canopy disc behind the globe keep the metalwork low-sheen, pairing comfortably with monochrome, industrial and pared-back contemporary interiors. At 2kg the fitting is light enough for standard ceiling fixings and the cable can be shortened on installation to suit lower ceilings.
