Description

The Vetra is a 30cm opal glass pendant light built around a frosted globe suspended from a matt black angled metal arm. The arm bends at a sharp geometric angle before joining the sphere at a black flat-disc fitting, giving the pendant a graphic offset profile rather than a straight vertical drop. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the globe, with the opal glass acting as the diffuser.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, hallways and bedside positions, the offset arm allows the globe to be positioned slightly away from the ceiling fixing point. Total height is 70.2cm with a 150cm cable that can be shortened on installation. The pendant works well hung solo over a side table or repeated in a row of two or three above a longer dining bench or kitchen island.

The opal glass is fully frosted rather than clear, so the bulb itself is hidden and the entire sphere glows evenly when lit. The matt black finish on the steel arm has a low sheen that holds its line against pale walls and pairs cleanly with smoked oak, brushed stone, concrete and darker contemporary palettes. At 3kg the fitting is light enough for standard plasterboard ceiling fixings with appropriate anchors.
