Description

The Versailles is a traditional rug with a vintage look, printed in the Dark Blue colourway. A deep anthracite ground carries rows of white blossom, lilies and small flowers in soft blue, cream, blush pink and apricot, framed by a trailing border of leaves and flowers in pale blue. The colours are gently faded, which gives the floral pattern the settled character of an older rug. It is made entirely from polyester and the design is digitally printed, so the fine detail of each petal and leaf comes through clearly.

We think it is most at home in a lounge or a bedroom. The 122 by 170cm size suits a reading corner or the space in front of an armchair, while the 152 by 230cm and 180 by 270cm sizes are generous enough to sit under a coffee table and the front legs of a sofa, or beneath the lower half of a bed. There is also a 61 by 230cm runner, which works neatly along the side of a bed.

For everyday living, the rug is washable, which makes spills and muddy paw prints far less of a worry in a busy lounge. It is also anti slip, so it is less inclined to creep across a wooden or laminate floor.
