Description

The Veridan is a 640mm-tall table lamp built around a solid black marble block, banded along the front and lower edges with an interlocking geometric brass framework. A slim brushed brass stem rises from the centre of the stone to a rectangular white fabric shade, topped with a small brass finial. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for console tables, sideboards, hallway tables and bedside surfaces of 350mm depth or more, the Veridan suits rooms where a lamp is intended to read as a sculptural object as well as a light source. The 400mm shade length and 200mm depth give a balanced footprint on a console, while the warm shade fabric softens the light for ambient evening use rather than focused task lighting.

Each marble block shows different white veining and tonal patterning depending on how the stone was cut, so no two bases look identical. The black marble, brushed brass framework and white shade create a deliberate three-tone palette that pairs with art deco, contemporary and Hollywood-regency interiors. The brass plinth at the base adds visual weight and lifts the marble fractionally clear of the surface beneath.

What bulb does it take?

The Veridan takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K suits the fabric shade and produces a comfortable ambient light.

Is the marble base real stone?

Yes. The base is cut from natural black marble with white veining. Each piece shows different patterning and tonal variation depending on the section of stone, so no two lamps look identical.

What size table does it suit?

With a 400mm x 200mm shade footprint and 640mm height, the Veridan suits console tables, sideboards and hall tables of around 350mm depth or more. It is taller than a typical bedside lamp, so check clearance on lower bedside cabinets.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid acidic household cleaners, sprays or polishes, which can etch the polished marble surface.
