Description
The Verge is a single pendant light built around a 35cm handmade smoked glass shade with a wide, slightly compressed profile that tapers gently towards the rim. A matt black metal cylinder housing holds the E27 lamp holder above the shade, suspended on a 150cm black fabric-covered cable from a matching matt black ceiling cup. The shade takes one E27 bulb (sold separately) and is best paired with a globe filament lamp visible through the smoked glass.
Designed for over-table, over-island and side-table use in living rooms, dining areas and kitchens, the Verge works as both a soft ambient light and a visible decorative element. The smoked tint reduces glare from the bulb itself, so the pendant can be hung at eye level above a dining table without the filament becoming uncomfortable to look at. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights from around 2.4m upwards.
The shade is hand-blown, so the smoke density and minor surface variation differ slightly between pieces, giving each pendant its own character when lit. At 35cm wide and 20cm tall the Verge is a small-to-medium pendant, suited to clusters of two or three above a longer dining table or kitchen island, or as a single fitting above a smaller table, breakfast bar, or bedside. The matt black hardware contrasts cleanly with the translucent grey glass and pairs with industrial, modern and Scandi-leaning interiors.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Verge take?
The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A globe-style filament lamp is recommended, as the filament is visible through the smoked glass and forms part of the look. Most users pair it with a 4-8W warm-white LED filament bulb at 2700K.
Can the cable length be adjusted?
Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height and intended drop. For a dining table, the shade typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface.
Is the smoked glass consistent between pendants?
The shades are hand-blown, so the smoke density and minor surface variation differ slightly from piece to piece. This is a feature of handmade glass rather than a defect, and is most visible when the light is switched off.
Can multiple Verge pendants be hung together?
Yes. At 35cm wide the Verge works well in groups of two or three above a longer dining table or kitchen island. Each pendant is a separate fitting with its own ceiling cup, so they need to be wired into individual ceiling points or paired with a multi-outlet bar plate.
