Description

The Verano Lavatus is a modern abstract rug in grey. Soft blocks and brushed streaks of mid grey and pale grey are laid over an ivory ground, rather like layers of paint washed across a wall. It is machine woven with a high and low pile: the higher pile is 100% polypropylene and the lower pile is 100% polyester. The design sits at two levels and has a gentle texture you can feel as well as see. The pile is soft underfoot.

We see it as a living room rug, where its muted greys and ivory sit easily with most schemes, from warm wood to cool neutrals. It comes in three sizes. At 120 by 170cm it suits a smaller living room or the space in front of an armchair. At 160 by 230cm it sits well in front of a sofa, with room for a coffee table on top. At 200 by 290cm it is large enough to reach under the front feet of a sofa and chairs, drawing the whole seating area together.

It is hard wearing, which suits a room that sees plenty of footsteps from family and guests. It is also stain resistant, which makes the odd spilt drink less of a worry.
