Description

The Velum is a 400mm flush ceiling and wall light housing three E27 bulbs behind a circular sandblasted glass diffuser. The white metal frame holds the glass in place with chrome spring hooks that lock against the outer edge, creating a clean geometric profile with minimal projection from the mounting surface. The sandblasted glass diffuses the light evenly across the 400mm diameter, turning the entire glass surface into a broad light source rather than showing individual bulb points.

Designed for medium-sized rooms where ceiling height is limited or where wall-mounted ambient lighting is needed, the Velum suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or below. When ceiling-mounted the fitting projects approximately 100mm from the ceiling plane; when wall-mounted it provides broad wash light across adjacent walls and floors. The three-bulb configuration allows total output to be scaled from 15W to 120W depending on bulb choice.

The white powder-coated metal frame pairs cleanly with white or light-toned ceilings and walls, blending into the architecture rather than standing as a decorative object. The chrome spring hooks provide functional contrast and secure the glass without visible screws on the front face. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior spaces, and the E27 sockets accept LED, halogen or filament bulbs (sold separately), all of which are dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.
