Description

The Velum is a 300mm circular flush ceiling or wall light with a sandblasted glass diffuser held in place by chrome-plated metal hooks with a spring locking mechanism. The white metal base sits flat against the ceiling or wall, and the transparent sandblasted glass softens the light output from two E27 bulbs (sold separately), creating an even, diffused ambient glow.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (IP20 rated for zones outside splash areas), and compact living spaces, the Velum works as both a primary ceiling light in rooms up to 10-12m² or as supplementary wall lighting in larger spaces. The 300mm diameter fits UK standard ceiling roses and wall-mounted junction boxes without additional adapters. The dual-bulb configuration provides balanced light distribution across the glass surface.

The sandblasted finish on the glass hides the bulbs from view when lit and prevents glare, making it suitable for installation at eye level on walls or on ceilings in rooms with lower headroom. The chrome hooks that secure the glass to the base are visible but minimal, contributing to a clean, functional appearance that works in modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors.
