Description

The Veltrix is a 500mm round flush ceiling light built from natural Spanish alabaster set in a metal frame, with a 50mm overall depth and a brushed brass centre cap. An integrated 48W 3000K LED sits behind the alabaster disc, lighting the stone from inside so the surface itself becomes the diffuser rather than a separate cover panel.

The 50mm depth makes the Veltrix suitable for rooms where a pendant or semi-flush fitting would hang too low — hallways, landings, bedrooms with low or sloped ceilings, and en-suites with restricted headroom. The flat profile keeps the light close to the ceiling plane while the 500mm diameter gives enough surface area to provide ambient light across a 3-4m room. The brushed brass centre cap conceals the fixing point and adds a warm metallic accent against the soft white stone.

Each Veltrix shows different mineral veining and tonal variation across its alabaster panels, since the stone is cut from natural blocks rather than cast or printed. When the LED is on, the veining becomes more visible as light passes through thinner sections of the stone, giving the disc a marbled appearance that no two fittings share. The fluted edge detail around the rim breaks up the silhouette and catches light differently to the flat underside.
