Velmora Travertine Bell Pendant Light - Light Beige

The Velmora is a 220mm travertine pendant light built around a flared bell shade carved from a single piece of natural travertine, with a frosted glass globe set inside the lower opening. The shade narrows at the top into a slim neck and widens out towards the base, giving the pendant a tapered profile of 130mm at its widest point. A G9 lamp socket sits inside the bell behind the glass diffuser, and the fitting hangs on a tan fabric-braided cord.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining nooks and bedside positions, the Velmora suits installations where a single compact pendant is preferred over a wider shade. The 130mm diameter makes it small enough to hang in clusters of two or three over a longer island, or alone above a bedside table. The cord drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the standard 700-800mm above a worktop or table surface.

The travertine itself shows the natural pitting, mineral veining and tonal variation typical of the stone, so each shade has a slightly different surface character. The matte finish keeps reflections to a minimum and lets the texture of the travertine read clearly under both daylight and lamplight. The black socket cap and tan cord pick up the warm beige tones of the stone, pairing the fitting with terracotta, oak and warm-neutral interiors as well as cooler stone-and-plaster schemes.

What bulb does the Velmora take?

The pendant uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. A 3-4W LED G9 in 2700K-3000K warm white pairs well with the frosted globe diffuser and matches the warm tone of the travertine shade.

Does the travertine vary between pieces?

Yes. Each shade is carved from natural travertine, so the pitting, veining and tonal variation differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and means no two Velmora pendants look identical.

What drop height should I install it at?

Above a kitchen island or breakfast bar, the base of the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop. Above a bedside table or console, 600-700mm above the surface tends to work well. The fabric cord is adjustable on installation to suit your ceiling height.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Travertine is porous and benefits from gentle care. Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners and polishes, which can stain or etch the stone.
