The Vela is a 62cm crystal chandelier built around five curved French gold arms, each terminating in an E14 candle bulb holder with a cut crystal sconce. Concave-cut crystal pendalogues hang in cascading strands from the central column and along each arm, refracting light outward when the bulbs are lit. The French gold finish on the metalwork sits between polished brass and antique brass in tone, giving warmth without the high reflectivity of polished metal.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Vela provides both ambient light through the five candle bulbs and decorative sparkle from the crystal droplets. The adjustable drop ranges from 780mm to 1780mm, allowing the chandelier to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or hung higher in a double-height entrance. The French gold canopy and chain conceal the cable run and fit standard UK ceiling roses.

Each crystal pendant is concave-cut rather than flat-cut, creating a curved surface that catches light at multiple angles and produces more pronounced refraction than standard flat crystal. The five arms curve outward and upward from the central column, giving the chandelier a spread of approximately 62cm at its widest point. The combined weight of the French gold frame and crystal is 5.7kg, requiring secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point.

The chandelier accepts any E14 candle bulbs up to 60W per fitting (bulbs sold separately). Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K to balance light output with running costs, though dimmable filament-style bulbs are also compatible if paired with an appropriate dimmer switch.
