Vela 2 Light Crystal Wall Light - French Gold

The Vela is a 2 light crystal wall light built around a french gold scrollwork frame with two upward-facing E14 candle fittings and cascading faceted crystal droplets. Two shallow crystal bowls sit beneath the bulb holders, catching and redirecting light downward through the crystal chains. The frame uses curved arms that loop back on themselves in a symmetrical pattern, giving the fitting the visual structure of a miniature chandelier mounted to the wall.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and living room feature walls, the Vela provides decorative rather than task lighting. The 280mm width and 170mm projection from the wall suit spaces where a ceiling pendant would be impractical but ambient light and decorative detail are wanted. The two E14 bulbs (sold separately) should be candle-style with visible filaments to match the crystal aesthetic — clear glass or flame-tip LED bulbs at 2700K work well.

The crystal droplets are precision-cut with multiple facets that catch and fragment light from the bulbs and from daylight entering the room, creating moving highlights on nearby walls as the light angle changes through the day. The french gold finish is a warm, slightly antiqued tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing well with traditional interiors, dark wood furniture and warm paint tones. The fitting weighs 1.4kg and requires a secure wall fixing into masonry or onto a timber stud.

What bulbs does the Vela take?

The Vela takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-style LED bulbs between 4-6W at 2700K-3000K to match the traditional crystal aesthetic.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not contain dimming circuitry, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 170mm from the wall face to the outermost point of the crystal droplets. The backplate and frame account for most of this projection, with the crystals hanging flush to the frame rather than extending further forward.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet gently with a soft microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or allowing water into the lampholder sockets.
