Description

The Vega is a compact surface-mounted LED downlight with a white powder-coated aluminium body housing an integrated 8W LED array at 3000K colour temperature. The cylindrical form measures 90mm diameter by 60mm projection from the ceiling, providing downward-directed ambient light without requiring a recessed cavity. The integrated LED sits behind a micro-prismatic diffuser that spreads the light evenly across the beam angle and softens the transition between the lit area and surrounding ceiling.

Designed for spaces where recessed downlights cannot be fitted — concrete ceilings, rooms with limited void depth above the plasterboard, or retrofit installations where cutting ceiling apertures is impractical — the Vega mounts directly to a standard ceiling box or joist. The surface-mount design also allows the light to be positioned precisely where needed without being constrained by joist spacing. The 8W output suits hallways, bathrooms, utility rooms and kitchens as ambient ceiling lighting, typically spaced 1.5-2m apart for general room illumination.

The aluminium body is powder-coated in a clean matt white that pairs with standard white ceilings and light-toned interiors. The 90 CRI rating renders colours accurately, making the Vega suitable for kitchens and bathrooms where task visibility matters. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas — it is not suitable for direct bathroom zones 1 or 2, or for outdoor use. The fixed-position LED cannot be angled or tilted once installed; the beam direction is always straight down.

The IP20 rating limits the Vega to dry indoor areas only. It cannot be used in bathroom zones 1 or 2 where direct water contact or high humidity occurs. It is suitable for zone 3 (the area beyond 0.6m from the bath/shower edge) where general room lighting is installed.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED operates on mains voltage AC 220-240V. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch to confirm compatibility.
