Description

The Vega is a 12cm diameter surface-mounted LED downlight with an integrated 12W LED module emitting 3000K warm white light. The cylindrical body is formed from powder-coated aluminium in matt black, projecting 64mm from the ceiling. A textured micro-prismatic diffuser covers the downward-facing LED aperture, spreading light evenly while minimising glare.

Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where recessed downlight installation is impractical or cost-prohibitive, the Vega provides direct downward illumination without requiring ceiling cavity space. It suits hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and retail interiors where a clean, functional downlight is needed on solid ceilings or where joists prevent recessed fittings. The 12W output delivers approximately 960 lumens at full brightness, suitable for general room lighting in spaces of 8-12m².

The 90 CRI rating reproduces colours more accurately than standard downlights, making it a practical choice for wardrobe areas, kitchens and bathrooms where colour matching matters. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor zones only. The matt black finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, reducing ceiling glare and allowing the fitting to recede visually once installed. The Vega runs on 220-240V mains with integral driver, requiring only a standard ceiling rose connection during installation.
