Description

A round LED lamp with a clear finish and a screw cap, drawing 4W and giving a warm white light at 2700K. The globe measures 95mm across, large enough to read as a proper sphere when it hangs on show rather than vanishing inside a shade. Light leaves it all the way round, so there is no dark band above or below the cap. It is not dimmable, so it wants a plain on and off switch rather than a trailing edge dimmer.

We reach for a globe like this wherever the lamp itself is part of the look: a bare flex over a kitchen island, a cluster above a dining table, an open framed pendant in a hallway. The warm tone sits comfortably in living rooms and bedrooms, close to the colour most people expect from an old fashioned household lamp, and it works in table and floor lamps whose shades let some light escape at the top.
