Description

The Valenro is a 1000mm circular chandelier built around a wide brushed brass ring, with 40 cylindrical natural Spanish alabaster shades arranged in two tiers around the perimeter. Each shade houses a G4 bulb (sold separately), and the ring is suspended from a 300mm brass drop rod and matching ceiling canopy. The total fitting height is 460mm including the rod.

This is a large-scale fitting designed for high-ceilinged rooms: double-height entrance halls, open-plan living spaces, formal dining rooms above a long table, and stairwell voids where the chandelier is viewed from multiple levels. With a 1m diameter the Valenro suits rooms of approximately 5m x 5m or larger, and ceiling heights from 3m upwards. The radial geometry reads cleanly from below and from oblique angles, which makes it well suited to spaces with mezzanines or galleries.

The 40 alabaster cylinders are cut from solid Spanish stone, so each one carries its own veining and tonal variation when lit. The shades are arranged in an offset two-tier pattern around the brass ring, which spreads the light source across a wider visual field than a single-row chandelier and softens the overall glow. The brushed brass frame and rod are finished to coordinate with warm metallic fixtures elsewhere in the room without the high reflectivity of polished brass.

The G4 capsule format keeps each individual light source small relative to the alabaster shade, so the stone itself becomes the visible diffuser rather than the bulb. Forty G4 lamps at typical 1.5-2W LED ratings give a combined output suitable for primary room lighting in larger spaces, and the capsule format is widely available in 2700K and 3000K warm-white temperatures.
