Description

The Unity track power feed is a white aluminium connector that supplies mains power to single-phase track lighting systems. Measuring 117mm long by 60mm wide and 20mm high, it connects to a ceiling rose or ceiling-mounted junction box and clips into compatible track rail to deliver 220-240V AC power to track-mounted fittings. The feed mechanism sits within a low-profile housing that projects just 20mm below the ceiling once installed.

Designed for retail, office, gallery and residential installations where track lighting provides adjustable accent or task lighting, the feed point is typically positioned at one end of a track run or at the centre where a room requires bi-directional track layout. The white finish matches most white-painted ceilings and white track rail systems, keeping the feed point visually recessive. The aluminium construction provides good heat dissipation where multiple high-wattage spotlights are used on the same track circuit.

The feed unit includes fixing screws visible on the top surface in the image, which secure the connector to the ceiling mounting point before the track rail is clipped in. Once track rail is fitted, the feed sits flush with the track profile and does not interrupt the line of the rail. The 220-240V AC rating is standard for UK and European single-phase mains, and the unit is backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty from Maytoni.

What track systems is this compatible with?

The Unity power feed is designed for Maytoni Unity single-phase track rail systems. It may be compatible with other single-phase track systems using the same profile, but this should be confirmed before ordering. The feed is not compatible with three-phase track systems.

Where on the track run should the power feed be positioned?

The feed can be positioned at either end of a track run or at the centre of a run where track extends in both directions from the ceiling power point. The position depends on where your ceiling rose or junction box is located and the layout of the track rail.

Does it require a qualified electrician to install?

Yes. The power feed connects directly to mains 220-240V AC and must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations. The installation involves connecting live, neutral and earth conductors from the ceiling supply to the feed unit before clipping track rail into place.
