Description

The Unity X-connector is a white plastic junction piece that joins four single-phase track segments in a cross configuration, allowing track lighting to run in four directions from a single central point. The connector measures 110 x 110mm across its arms with a 23mm height when surface-mounted, and supports AC 220-240V single-phase electrical supply across all four outlets.

Designed for retail, gallery, office and residential spaces where track lighting needs to cover multiple zones from a central ceiling position, the X-connector allows a single power feed to distribute across perpendicular track runs without additional ceiling wiring. The white finish matches Maytoni's Unity white track system, maintaining a uniform appearance when the connector sits exposed on a white or light-coloured ceiling. Installation involves fixing the connector to the ceiling first, then slotting the track ends into each of the four arms and securing with the internal locking mechanism.

The plastic body keeps the connector lightweight and resistant to corrosion in damp environments, though the connector itself carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. This connector is designed for Maytoni's Unity single-phase surface-mounted track system in white. It will not fit recessed tracks, two-circuit tracks, or track systems from other manufacturers due to differences in the locking mechanism and conductor spacing.

How is the connector wired?

The connector receives power from one of the four connected track segments, which itself connects back to a ceiling power feed via a separate feed connector. The X-connector then distributes that power to the other three track arms. It does not require separate wiring — it simply joins the tracks mechanically and electrically.

Can spotlights be positioned directly over the connector?
