Description
The Turin is a 3-head outdoor lamp post with a die-cast aluminium column and three clear-glass lanterns arranged on a central arm, finished in black powder coat. Each lantern houses an E27 socket rated to 60W maximum (bulbs sold separately). The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making the post suitable for driveways, front gardens, pathways and coastal locations without a coastal exclusion zone.
The post adjusts between 1850mm and 2750mm height on installation, allowing it to be set lower for domestic front gardens or higher for commercial forecourts and long driveways. The three-lantern configuration on a single post provides wider light spread than a single-head post, reducing the number of posts needed to light a path or driveway entrance. The 660mm width and 570mm projection mean the lanterns extend outward from the column, directing light down and outward rather than straight down from the pole.
The black powder-coated finish on die-cast aluminium resists corrosion and weathering better than steel or painted mild steel in outdoor environments. The clear glass panels in each lantern allow full light output from the bulbs without tinting or diffusing the colour, so bulb choice (warm white, cool white, filament style) directly controls the light appearance. The traditional coach-lantern styling pairs with period homes, Victorian conversions, and heritage properties, while the matt black finish also suits modern builds looking for a darker accent on gateposts or boundaries.
Norlys backs the Turin with a 5-year guarantee covering manufacturing defects and finish degradation. The post is supplied with a ground-fixing flange for mounting onto an existing concrete base or paving slab prepared with appropriate drainage and cable entry. Wiring is not included and must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK outdoor lighting regulations.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Turin take and are they included?
Each of the three lanterns takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K for a traditional outdoor glow, though filament-style LED bulbs are also popular for the visible vintage bulb effect through the clear glass.
Can this be used in coastal areas?
Yes. The Turin has no coastal exclusion zone, meaning the die-cast aluminium and powder-coated finish are rated to resist salt-air corrosion in coastal locations. The IP54 rating also protects internal components from moisture ingress in exposed positions.
How is the post height adjusted during installation?
The post adjusts between 1850mm and 2750mm using an internal telescoping section. The height is set during installation before the post is fixed to the ground base, and cannot be adjusted once installed without removing and re-fitting the post.
What base preparation is needed?
The post mounts onto a ground-fixing flange (included) which must be bolted to a prepared concrete base or paving slab with appropriate drainage and an underground cable entry point. The base must be level and stable. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK outdoor wiring regulations.
