Description

The Trosmessa is a flush LED ceiling light in a black finish. It has four curved arms that cross one another over a black ceiling plate. Each arm carries a white plastic shade along its face, so the light comes from the length of every curve rather than from a single point. The body is steel and plastic, and the fitting is 40cm long, 40cm wide and just 7.5cm high. The LEDs are integrated and draw 18.8W to give 560 lumens at 3000K, a warm light. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

At only 7.5cm high it keeps close to the ceiling. That makes it a sensible choice for rooms with lower ceilings, where a pendant would hang in the way. We think it suits a living room, bedroom, hallway or study, anywhere dry that wants a main light with a sculptural shape. The black frame against the white shades gives a crisp monochrome look that sits well with pale or dark schemes. The crossing arms give it real presence without crowding a smaller room. The warm 3000K tone is easy on the eye in the evening, and with integrated LEDs there are no bulbs to buy.
