Description
The Trivine is an LED outdoor wall light made from folded panels of zinc-plated steel, with a fine-textured anthracite face and crisp white recesses at the top and bottom. It measures 14cm wide and 21cm tall, and stands 7.5cm out from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a door without crowding a narrow stretch of brickwork. Inside are two integrated LEDs of 2.5W each, giving 230lm per light, one throwing light upwards and the other downwards. Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to fit. Its IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.
We would put a Trivine either side of a front door, along a porch, beside a garage or on a garden wall, wherever you want a soft, framed glow rather than a floodlight. The upward and downward wash picks out the texture of render, brick or timber cladding, and it helps mark a path or a doorstep after dark. At 3000K the light is a warm white, so it feels welcoming from the street and sits comfortably beside the light from your windows. The folded shape suits contemporary houses and new builds especially well, and a pair spaced along a wall gives a neat, rhythmic pattern of light.
The body is zinc-plated steel, and the zinc layer helps the steel resist rust, which matters on a wall that faces the weather all year. The two-tone finish keeps the contrast sharp: the anthracite face reads as a clean solid shape by day, while the white recesses bounce the light outwards at night. There is no switch on the light itself and it is not dimmable, so it runs from your existing wall switch at full brightness. It works on a 220-230V mains supply and is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download.
