Description

The Trackway Large is a 155mm round drive over recessed ground light, rated to carry vehicles up to 5,000kg, with a high-performance resin body and an IP67 rating. It takes one GX53 bulb (sold separately) behind a clear diffuser and sits flush with paving, tarmac, gravel or stone.

Its larger aperture is easy to see along long driveways, car parks and garage approaches, while the flush fit leaves no trip hazard on paths and patios. The IP67 rating means it is dust-tight and protected against immersion, so it suits areas where water pools or surfaces are pressure-washed.

The resin body resists corrosion, fertilisers and UV fading, and copes with temperatures from -60°C to +90°C. A recessing housing is supplied for installation, which should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Yes. It is rated for vehicle traffic up to 5,000kg, so cars can drive and park over it when it is installed flush on a stable sub-base following the fitting instructions.

What does the IP67 rating mean?

It is completely dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1m deep for 30 minutes, so standing water, heavy rain and pressure-washing are not a problem.

What bulb does it take?

One GX53 bulb, a low-profile twist-and-lock fitting, usually LED at 5 to 11W. Bulbs are sold separately.

How is it installed?

The housing supplied is set into the ground and backfilled with concrete or compacted aggregate, then the light is fitted level with the surface. A qualified electrician should run the mains wiring in outdoor-rated conduit or armoured cable.
