Description
The Knightsbridge TRKX1S is a single-circuit X-connector that joins four track lighting rails in a cross configuration, creating a junction point where tracks meet at 90-degree angles from four directions. The connector body measures 181mm square with an 18mm projection from the ceiling, housing copper contact rails inside a polycarbonate shell finished in satin nickel.
Designed for commercial, retail and residential track lighting installations where layouts require T-junctions or grid patterns, the X-connector allows power to flow continuously through all four arms or can serve as a central feed point if only one track section carries incoming mains. The connector is compatible with Knightsbridge TRKSPxx series track sections, which snap into the four openings on the connector body and lock with internal spring clips.
The satin nickel finish on the visible face matches Knightsbridge's track rail finish options, maintaining a consistent appearance across the entire installation. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — kitchens, galleries, showrooms, offices and living spaces with standard ceiling heights. The polycarbonate body insulates the copper contact rails, which carry the 230V single-phase supply across the junction without requiring external wiring connections once the connector is installed onto incoming track sections.

Frequently Asked
What track systems is this compatible with?
The TRKX1S is compatible with Knightsbridge TRKSPxx series single-circuit track sections. The connector accepts track rail on all four sides, allowing cross-junction layouts where tracks meet at 90-degree angles.
Can this be used as a central power feed point?
Yes. The X-connector can function as a central feed point if only one of the four track arms carries the incoming mains supply. Power flows through the copper contact rails to all connected track sections.
Is installation surface-mounted or recessed?
Surface-mounted. The connector sits 18mm below ceiling level once the track sections are snapped into the four openings. The satin nickel face remains visible as part of the track system's aesthetic.
What's the maximum load this connector can carry?
The connector itself carries 230V 50Hz single-phase power across the junction. The total load capacity depends on the incoming track circuit rating and the number of light fittings attached to the connected track sections. Refer to the track system's overall load specifications before adding multiple high-wattage spotlights.
