Track Adaptor for Pendant or Power Feed - Black

The Knightsbridge TRKAD1BK is a track-mounted adaptor that converts a point on an MLA TRK single-circuit track system into either a pendant drop point or a hard-wired power feed for track-mounted fixtures. The adaptor clips into the track channel and provides electrical contact through internal copper conductors, accepting cable flex between 1.5mm and 6mm diameter.

Designed for commercial lighting installations, retail displays, gallery spaces and domestic track lighting systems where flexible pendant positioning is needed without fixed ceiling points, the adaptor supports loads up to 100W and weights up to 5kg. The polycarbonate housing measures 40mm x 37mm x 65mm and sits flush with the track profile once installed, minimising visual interruption to the track run.

The black finish matches standard black track systems and provides a consistent appearance across multi-adaptor installations. The Class I rating requires an earth connection, which is provided through the track system itself when correctly installed. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry locations — the adaptor is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or high-humidity environments.

Installation requires threading the pendant flex or power cable through the central channel of the adaptor, stripping and terminating the cores to the internal connector block, then clipping the assembled unit into the track. The adaptor rotates within the track channel, allowing pendant cables to hang vertically even when the track runs at an angle. Flex is not included and must be sourced separately to match the pendant or fixture being connected.

What track systems is this adaptor compatible with?

The TRKAD1BK is designed for Knightsbridge MLA TRK single-circuit track systems. It will not fit three-circuit track, standard conduit track, or track systems from other manufacturers without verification of mechanical and electrical compatibility.

What flex diameter does it accept?

The central cable channel accepts flex or cable between 1.5mm and 6mm outer diameter. Standard two-core and three-core pendant flex in 0.5mm² and 0.75mm² cross-sections typically falls within this range.

Does the adaptor include the pendant cable?

No. Flex or cable must be purchased separately and terminated to the internal connector block during installation. Match the flex rating to the pendant load and ensure it carries an earth core for Class I fixtures.

Can it support heavy pendants?

The adaptor is rated for a maximum suspended weight of 5kg and a maximum electrical load of 100W. Pendants exceeding either limit require a different suspension method or a direct ceiling fixing point.
