The Tournai Small is a 267mm outdoor wall lantern cast from aluminium with a bronze finish and seeded glass panels on all four sides. A single E27 bulb sits inside the hexagonal frame, diffusing light through the textured glass and decorative metalwork that includes acanthus leaf scrolling on the backplate and lantern crown.

Designed for front porches, side entrances, balconies and accent positions alongside larger fixtures, the 152mm width and 197mm wall projection suit doorways and narrow wall sections where a full-sized lantern would overwhelm the proportions. The IP44 rating protects the bulb and internal components from rain splash and dust ingress, making the lantern suitable for covered outdoor positions including porch ceilings converted to wall-mount.

The seeded glass creates a vintage texture that diffuses direct bulb glare while retaining enough clarity to show the bulb filament when fitted with a visible-element LED or carbon-filament lamp. The bronze finish is applied over the cast aluminium and shows variation in tone across the relief detail, with darker bronze pooling in the recesses of the scrollwork and lighter bronze on the raised edges. What bulb does it take?

The lantern takes a single E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-8W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K, or a vintage-style LED filament bulb to complement the seeded glass and traditional metalwork.

How is the lantern mounted?

The backplate fixes to the wall using two screws through mounting holes in the cast aluminium. The electrical cable feeds through a central knockout hole in the backplate. Standard outdoor-rated cable and waterproof connectors are required for IP44 compliance.

Can the glass panels be replaced if damaged?

The seeded glass panels are held in place by the cast metal frame. Replacement glass is available through Kichler parts suppliers, though removal and refitting requires disassembly of the lantern housing and is best handled by a competent person familiar with the construction.
