Description

The Torino is a 2-light crystal wall light with a polished chrome scroll frame, Asfour crystal droplets and a pull-cord switch. Two upward-facing E14 sockets sit within chrome candle tubes positioned above cut crystal bobeches, while faceted crystal drops hang from the scrolling arms. The frame measures 400mm wide by 270mm high with a 220mm projection from the wall.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where switched wall lighting is needed without running a cable to a separate wall switch, the Torino gives control via a chrome pull-cord hanging below the centre backplate. The chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and adds metallic accent to traditional and classical interiors. The crystal drops catch and refract light from the candle bulbs (sold separately), casting small prismatic patterns onto adjacent walls.

The crystal components are Asfour-cut mineral glass, including octagonal beads strung between the arms, teardrop pendants hung on chrome pins, and maple-leaf shaped accents at the bobeches. The polished chrome metalwork contrasts with the clear crystal, giving the fitting a lighter visual weight than solid brass equivalents. At 1.4kg fitted, the Torino requires fixing to solid masonry or to a wall stud rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulbs does the Torino take?

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W at 2700K-3000K. Flame-tip or bent-tip candle bulbs suit the upward-facing sockets and echo the crystal candle aesthetic.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer. The pull-cord switch on the fitting itself is on/off only — dimming requires a separate dimmer on the mains circuit feeding the wall light.

How is the switch operated?

A chrome pull-cord hangs from the centre backplate below the arms. Pulling the cord toggles the light on and off. This allows the Torino to be switched at the fitting rather than requiring a wall switch elsewhere in the room.

What wall fixing is needed?

The 1.4kg weight requires fixing to solid masonry using wall plugs and screws, or to a wall stud if fitting to a stud wall. Plasterboard-only fixing is not sufficient without a stud or cavity anchor rated to carry the weight.
