Description

The Torelli is a 300mm wide-disc pendant light built around a flat circular shade cut from light beige travertine, topped with a turned walnut-brown wooden cap and finished with a frosted glass globe diffuser beneath. A single G9 lamp socket sits inside the globe, and the fitting is suspended on a slim brown fabric-covered cord that runs into the wooden top.

The horizontal proportions suit kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and hallways where a wide, low-profile pendant works better than a tall vertical fitting. At 130mm overall height the Torelli sits close to the ceiling line, making it usable in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings as well as taller spaces. Hung in a row of two or three, the discs read as a connected horizontal band above an island or counter run.

The travertine disc shows the natural pitting and mineral veining of the stone, so each shade carries a slightly different surface pattern. The matte finish keeps reflections soft and lets the texture stay visible at close range. The walnut cap visually separates the cord from the stone and adds a warm tonal counterpoint to the cooler beige of the travertine. The frosted glass globe extends just below the underside of the disc, throwing diffused light downward while the stone catches a halo of reflected glow.

What bulb does the Torelli take?

The pendant uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. A frosted G9 LED of around 3-4W at 2700K-3000K pairs well with the frosted glass globe and gives a warm ambient glow without harsh hotspots through the diffuser.

Is it suitable for a kitchen island or dining table?

Yes. The 300mm-wide flat disc and low 130mm body suit kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables, typically hung 700-800mm above the surface. Two or three Torelli pendants in a row work well above longer islands or counter runs.

Does each travertine disc look the same?

No. Travertine is a natural stone with inherent pitting, veining and tonal variation, so each disc shows a slightly different surface pattern. This is a feature of the material rather than a defect.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Travertine is porous, so wipe the disc with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water and dry immediately. Avoid acidic cleaners, household sprays and abrasive cloths, which can etch or stain the stone surface.
